Dr Megan van der Merwe graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg. During her studies, she gained experience and knowledge by treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in various age groups in the University of Johannesburg Chiropractic Clinic. She was also actively involved in Student Chiropractic Sports Council where she worked at various events, including KES Water polo and Easter rugby Festivals, 94.7 Cycle Challenges, Equestrian events as well as the Cape Epic.
Dr. Megan also worked at the UJ Chiropractic Clinic as an assistant Clinician.
Upon graduation, she received an invitation from the Golden Key International Honor Society. This society is a non-profit organisation that recognises academic excellence. Membership is by invitation only and is purely based on academic merit and is limited to the top 15% of degree students from all disciplines.
Dr. Megan is a member of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) and is a registered practitioner with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Dr. Megan is passionate about chiropractic and has a keen interest in general family practice, sports injuries as well as paediatrics. She takes a special interest in each and every patient and strives to explain symptoms, what the cause is and how to treat the condition as well as maintenance of the condition.
